Snow Days

After the long MLK weekend, Chapel Hill received a lot of snow early Tuesday morning. Lucky for us students, that meant we ended up having school only 1.5 days that week! Wednesday and Thursday classes were cancelled, and half of Friday classes were cancelled as well. This is one instance where North Carolina did not freak out and over exaggerate the snow (at least for Chapel Hill). We had at least 7 inches on the ground here, and were effectively stranded with the icy roads.  This was the first time I was on campus during a snow break. Normally I would have driven home to Raleigh, but since the snow came over night and no one knew just how bad it would be, I remained in CH. Honestly, it was a lot of fun to venture onto campus in the snow. There were many people building snowmen, some of which were giants that required over five guys to roll the base.  My friends and I walked through the upper and lower quad, and finished off our walk at Kennan Stadium.
